The default FooEvents ticket theme is named \u201cDefault Ticket Theme\u201d (Replaced the &#8216;Default 2020&#8217; ticket theme in Nov 2022)<\/li>\n<li>In the text input box, enter the email address where you would like to send the preview and click the \u201c<strong>Send Ticket Preview<\/strong>\u201d button<\/li>\n<li>The ticket will then be sent to the email address you specified<\/li>\n<li>Please Note: The ticket data is pre-populated test data and it is not from one of your valid events. To ensure compatibility with different email formats please be sure to only use a .png or .jpg image.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Update<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a name=\"modifying-a-ticket-theme-template\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Modifying a Ticket Theme Template<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Browse to the directory wp-content\/uploads\/fooevents\/themes\/<\/li>\n<li>Make a copy of the\u00a0theme\u00a0you wish to overwrite e.g. wp-content\/uploads\/fooevents\/themes\/[FOOEVENTS-THEME-NAME]<\/li>\n<li>Make changes as required to the files in the new\u00a0theme\u00a0directory that you copied<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Versions older than 1.7.0:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>In your WordPress\u00a0theme\u00a0create the following directory structure: fooevents\/templates<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Copy the\u00a0template\u00a0files that you would like to modify from the wp-content\/plugins\/fooevents\/templates directory to the directory that you created in Step 1<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Modify the\u00a0template\u00a0files as required<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a name=\"modify-the-theme-date-format\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Modify the Theme Date Format<\/h3>\n<p>The date displayed on a ticket is the date entered in the event&#8217;s individual settings. The format of the date is determined by the WordPress date format.<\/p>\n<p>FooEvents currently supports the default date formats in the English version of WordPress only. Please note FooEvents does not currently support custom date formats.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nYou can change which date format to use here: <strong>WordPress admin area<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>General<\/strong><br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-573\" src=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fooevents-date-format.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"203\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>Please note that after you\u2019ve changed the date format you will have to edit each event, select the event date(s) again and click on \u201cUpdate\u201d before the date format change will be applied. New tickets that are emailed or existing tickets that are emailed again <strong>after<\/strong> this change will display the date in the new format.<\/em><br \/>\n<a name=\"create-your-own-html-ticket-theme\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Create your own HTML Ticket Theme<\/h3>\n<p class=\"notice\">Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/docs\/topics\/tickets\/custom-ticket-themes\/\">Custom Ticket Themes<\/a> help guide.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"updating-ticket-themes\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Updating Ticket Themes<\/h3>\n<p>Occasionally, it may be necessary to update your ticket theme\/s when the PDF library that FooEvents uses has been updated or when new features have been added.<\/p>\n<p>After updating your ticket themes you must <a href=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/docs\/frequently-asked-questions\/tickets\/how-can-i-resend-tickets\/\">resend tickets<\/a> if you want attendees to receive the most recent version of the ticket. <strong>Resending tickets<\/strong> will also <strong>regenerate<\/strong> the PDF ticket files that your customers can download from the &#8220;My Account&#8221; section on your site.<\/p>\n<p>There are two ways that you can update ticket themes:<\/p>\n<h3>Option 1: Update Themes via the WordPress Admin Area<\/h3>\n<p>Similar to how you update WordPress plugins, you can update existing ticket themes in the Ticket Themes section of your WordPress admin area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before you update your ticket themes, please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a backup of the ticket theme(s) you currently have installed, especially if you have made any customizations to the ticket theme code.<\/li>\n<li>If you previously made changes to the ticket theme code, you will need to reapply those changes to the updated version, or copy the new updates into your modified version.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Follow these steps to update your ticket themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-146819\" src=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.03.06.png\" alt=\"FooEvents Ticket Theme Update\" width=\"641\" height=\"436\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.03.06.png 641w, https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.03.06-300x204.png 300w, https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.03.06-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the most recent version of the ticket theme(s) from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fooevents.com\/my-account\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FooEvents Account<\/a> &gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fooevents.com\/my-account\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Downloads<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>In your <strong>WordPress admin area<\/strong>, go to <strong>FooEvents<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Ticket Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Upload Ticket Theme<\/strong> button, then click the <strong>Choose File<\/strong> or <strong>Browse<\/strong> button and select the <strong>ticket theme ZIP file<\/strong> that you downloaded.<\/li>\n<li>Check the <strong>Overwrite ticket themes with matching folder names<\/strong> setting. This will ensure that the existing theme files are replaced with the updated files.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Upload<\/strong>. A confirmation message will appear, warning that the original ticket theme files will be overwritten. Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to continue<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You need to upload the ticket theme <strong>ZIP file<\/strong>. Some browsers automatically unzip files when downloading themes, so if you only see an extracted folder on your desktop, you will need to compress it into a ZIP file before uploading it. Also ensure that the ZIP file name matches the original folder name (for example, <code>admission_ticket_theme.zip<\/code>).<\/p>\n<p>Once done, confirm the latest version is reflecting:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-146820\" src=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.08.00.png\" alt=\"FooEvents Ticket Theme version number\" width=\"483\" height=\"446\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.08.00.png 483w, https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.08.00-300x277.png 300w, https:\/\/help.fooevents.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Screenshot-2026-03-10-at-09.08.00-13x12.png 13w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 483px) 100vw, 483px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Option 2: Update Themes via FTP<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Download the most recent version of the ticket theme(s) from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fooevents.com\/my-account\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FooEvents Account<\/a> &gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fooevents.com\/my-account\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Downloads<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Connect to your web server via FTP<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to the folder:\u00a0<i>wp-content\/uploads\/fooevents\/themes *<br \/>\n<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Make a backup of the FooEvents ticket theme\/s that you currently have installed (<strong>Note: this is a crucial step if you made any changes to the ticket theme code<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Delete the\u00a0existing ticket theme folder\/s\u00a0on your server. If you are attempting to update the <i>Default Ticket Theme <\/i>or\u00a0<em>Receipt Ticket Theme<\/em> then please be aware that the FooEvents plugins will recreate these theme folders <strong>automatically<\/strong> after you delete them. If you see these folders again after deleting them then you can skip Steps 5 and 6.<\/li>\n<li>Unzip the\u00a0latest ticket theme ZIP files\u00a0that you downloaded and upload the theme folder to:<br \/>\n<i>wp-content\/uploads\/fooevents\/themes *<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>* Please note that if you have a WordPress multisite setup then you will also need to update the ticket themes in each user&#8217;s folder i.e. <em>wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/[User ID]\/fooevents\/themes<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Replacing Custom Theme Code<\/h3>\n<p>If you previously made any custom changes to your ticket theme code, you will need to paste these changes into the new ticket theme files. Alternatively, you can copy the updates in the new ticket themes to your current modified ticket theme files. The main changes that you would need to make are copying the code that displays the booking details (if you are using this functionality) and using the new URLs for the logo, barcode, QR code and other images.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of the new URL variables that need to be used as the &#8220;src&#8221; value for the image tags:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Logo: <code>$ticket['WooCommerceEventsTicketLogo']<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Header image: <code>$timeIcon<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Ticket icon: <code>$ticketIcon<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Scissors\/Dotted lines: <code>$cut1<\/code> and <code>$cut2<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Divider image: <code>$divider<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a name=\"removing-ticket-themes\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Removing Ticket Themes<\/h3>\n<p>The only way to completely remove a FooEvents Ticket Theme from your website at the moment, is to delete the theme folder manually through your web hosting control panel software (e.g. cPanel) or via FTP.<\/p>\n<h3>Steps to remove ticket themes via FTP<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect to your server using your preferred FTP client<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to the folder <em>wp-content\/uploads\/fooevents\/themes<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Delete the folder containing the theme you want to
